The not-so-bright dark personalities are usually not as successful though with their campaign of destruction as those that are higher functioning.

They trip themselves up with their baseless powerful ego, their limited influence and in many cases their criminal backgrounds. They basically believe they are smarter than they are. While they are still dangerous, all of this works against them.

Higher functioning dark personalities, those that are doctors, lawyers, CEO's, board directors, accountants, 'leaders' in religion etc are able to cause so much damage through astute application of influencing skills and covert techniques of manipulation.

Higher functioning dark personalities can influence so many. The risks are huge in not 'seeing' them and preventing the far-reaching harm they are capable of.

There’s two crucial elements in preventing harm to yourself and other others. Know the red flags (in my book, Human Predators). Do research.
