AXIE INFINITY'S POINT OF NO RETURN

The idea of building a game with elements inspired from CryptoKitties and Pokemon bloomed last 2017 led by Nguyen Thanh Trung, alongside Tu Doan, Aleksander Larsen, Jeffrey Zirlin, and Andy Ho.

This idea was built and commenced last December 2019 and created the largest hype and noise regarding Web3 Gaming which has been brought until now.

Within these time frames a lot has happened both good and bad. Some people called the game their "saving grace" and for some they call it a "pyramid scheme".
Various opinions circulated the internet and the Web3 regarding the stand of Axie Infinity because of what happened to it last 2022; to make the long story short:
• SLP crashed its value to 99% from its peak value
• Ronin Network was hacked and loss approximately $650 million in Ether and USDC.

With this downfall, Axie Infinity "lost" it's glory days and almost majority of its players left the community.
This downfall was not the end of Axie Infinity, it was the start. Let me discuss it in a different aspect.
Let's look at Axie Infinity as a movie that uses a Four Act Structure: Set-up, Build, Build Faster, Resolve

ACT 1: SET-UP
"I have a plan"

Jihoz and the team dreamt of bringing the benefits of Blockchain Technology to the world through a fun and beautiful world through Axie Infinity, and it happened.
The set-up and plan was good, the dream was better, and the execution was the best.

ACT 2: BUILD
"I wasn't expecting this but I can handle it."

The hype of Axie Infinity attracts a vast amount of players, meaning, a large community with different agendas to the game.
Some just wants to profit, some wants to build, some wants to exploit the game. This leads to the overflow of the in-game token SLP.
The demand lessens and the supply overflowed, which leads to SLP's Price to deflate quick.

ACT 3: BUILD FASTER
"I can't go back because I've changed too much; I must go on."

Imagine the pressure of what just started as a dream that was executed to help a lot of people that leads to the game's popularity which also leads the eyes of hackers and badmouth to infiltrate the Ronin Network.
This was the moment where people thought that Axie Infinity is dead. It's over. It's done. But not for Sky Mavis.

This is their "POINT OF NO RETURN", they invested so much time, effort, and ideas to this game that they didn't hesitate to continue and strive to build what was broken down to pieces.

ACT 4: RESOLVE
"I'm defeated but I can't quit."

Axie Infinity built in silence after the great fall. They slowly build the trust of those who stayed despite the damage that happened.
This is important for the team because their CRISIS will only lead to it's CLIMAX if they do it right. In my opinion, the decrease of players in the game leads to its new breathe of life. The game is no longer clogged by Cash Grab Lunatics. The community was genuine again to the building of its kingdom.

Quitting was never an option for Sky Mavis, the Ronin Network, and its community.
With this attitude, they attract and inspired a lot of Web3 Games that we enjoy and play right now. Lastly, Axie Infinity returned with a blast consisting of 3 main games (Classic, Origins, and Homeland), and also games with different titles but with the same IP.

RESOLUTION:
Axie Infinity is rising once again but with the correct audience and community this time. This just proves some of my points:
• Axie Infinity is still a game meant to be enjoyed and not just a source of money.
• Web3 Games are worthy to invest in if the team behind it will fight for you.
• The game's life doesn't depend on the price of it's token but to it's community.
• Axie Infinity is the GOAT

With what I am seeing right now Axie Infinity is still not finish building something. There is more to come. We just need to wait and let them cook.
Just like what Napoleon Bonaparte said, "My downfall raises me to infinite heights.", get ready for the infinite heights that Axie Infinity will bring.
