@valiscariot @mattyglesias I donโt know. Boston-Cambridge-Somerville has good food now, but it gets dicey fast as you get further out. I always look forward to better food when I travel, unless Iโm going to Utah
@MikellTaylor If you've been at your job for a few years and you have "staff" or higher in your title, don't forget you might also be an intimidating leader. Don't forget to be silly every once in a while.
@gedaliap Wow my emotional scale for versioning systems ranges from canโt-even-make-it-work to will-tolerate-for-money. Unless you count Time Machine. I do have warmth in my heart for Time Machine.
@glennEmartin It depends on where you live. $100k per year means $8.3k per month, which is probably $5.6k per month if you put 10% in a 401k and have a 25% tax rate. If you can find a house with a monthly mortgage less than half that and you don't have other debts, you'll do great!
Mirrorless cameras are great, but DSLRs do have a strength that mirrorless cameras do not, which is that you can just leave a DSLR on a tripod and compose whatever it is you are shooting in front of it for hours or days.
@acesigma@wormulus I'm about to try a two small rubber band plus somewhat chonky air fitting o-ring as a solution. Thing is the wheel needs to be fairly thick and anyway I did already buy the damn thing off Etsy, so including tools I'm at about $50 to fix this free forty year old receiver
@constans Also I think that if it were possible to turn a human body into two blue diamonds either diamonds would completely loose their value or there would be a much larger kidnapping of large people problem than there currently is.
