@zipcpu I'm not sure if they updated ISE since 2017 or have any plans to update. For some reason ISE didn't like binary files. I've only tried a single number per line (in a text representation), like this:

@zipcpu Hi Dan. Thank you for a great articles on HDL design! I was reading https://t.co/oDTiAOYDNb and noted your remark on Xilinx ISE inability to read hex files with $readmemh. It seems that ISE expects a single two character hex number per line (worked for me).
