Britain was the only country to fight on the first day of the war 1st September, 1939 and the last day of the war 2nd September 1945.
Britain was the only allied powers who fought the Nazi's itself from the fall of France on 23rd June 1940 through to the invasion of the Soviet Union on 22nd June 1941, a whole year of fighting alone on principle.
Britain also was the only country to fight in every theatre of war, European, North & East Africa, Middle East, The Pacific and China-Burma-India, Mediterranean Sea, the Atlantic and Artic.
