What are you on about? The US loves socialized healthcare! There’s Medicare, Medicaid, the Veterans Administration, plus state systems, e.g. MediCal. Then there’s the taxpayer funded health system for members of Congress. Not forgetting that the US funded the NHS in the UK for its first year.

There is a 4th option @garyseconomics Exploit the available fossil fuel reserves for the purpose of reducing the BoP deficit. The UK has a very short runway to bring known resources into the reserve pile but the time cannot be wasted with hand wringing. This will give about £25bn per year fir another 20 yrs to help accelerate adoption of greener tech and help out the NHS. Exploit what is available rather than build Norway’s wealth fund.
