People need to realize Jaden is not wired to be consistently aggressive on offense. Even when he was getting KD comparisons coming out of high school, he wasn’t aggressive. This gives Minnesota a guaranteed third option every night and, on some nights, four 20-point scorers.
Jeff Teague is not moved by Jonathan Kuminga going to the Timberwolves:
“Nah that’s too much basketball, Kuminga a scorer…Jaden McDaniels was just starting to flourish”
(via @club520podcast)
@DaneMooreNBA@KyleTheige You can easily watch him play with Chris Paul. He has no problem being a finisher. He has a problem not playing. That Minnesota offense running pick-and-rolls and getting out in transition fits him much better than Golden State ever did.

@jordanmanz_nice He and Marion have different skill sets, bodies, and athletic profiles. Kuminga cannot be that type of player. Kerr misevaluated him. JK is Jeff Green. He can guard 1-5, but he's not great at it. He can get buckets but not consistently. He can pass but only after surveying.
@Betsycashmoney@stungdead At this point, he's left a guaranteed 24 mil on the table. However, why is it so hard to fathom that the dude wants to play and be free, and that he believes that is what will get him the money he wants? The GSW tenure has obviously changed his outlook, and he wants some control.
@itsbelal_a He turned down 3/75 to take 2/48. The third year of the 75 million deal was also a team option.
The Lakers offered 3/36.
And the second year, on 2/12, is a player option.
There's a lot of nuance missing here, but the data is also just incorrect.
@jordanmanz_nice Agreement on everything you said. He shot 41% from three but only on 3 attempts per game. I'm sure they want him to increase that number to around 6 or 7.
Where does this take that Quin didn’t want him to come from? In the playoffs, Quin played him 26 minutes per game, which was one minute less than Dyson Daniels. It was a contract issue created by Golden State, and they already have an All-NBA player at his position.
Kuminga thoughts:
- He's a north-south player, Minnesota is a north-south team, so it makes more sense
- He replaces the rebounding they lost at forward
- Literally anyone with NBA minutes who could play PF was an upgrade at that position
- Two different very good coaches have said "no thanks" after having him and I think that really matters
- I think his defense is much worse than advertised, but also, Rudy's back there somewhere.
23 years ago today, ESPN debuted Playmakers, a scripted drama of a football team full of off-field issues.
The show was a hit, but ESPN shelved it after one season, because the NFL was mad.
I spoke to all the major players about What Happened:

@LylesTerrence@PlayoffDude Thank you! Lol. It was either Phoenix or Sacramento that offered him 4 years for 90 million, and the Warriors didn't want to work out a sign-and-trade agreement.
@PandaMathews@Tjonesonthenba You can say you don't understand instead of being an asshat. Rebounding rate is not rebounds per game. It estimates the percentage of available defensive rebounds a player grabs while on the court. It means that, while on the court, he was top 30 in stopping second-chance points.
