@FullLaneFemme Hard for me to think of a situation where money isn’t a factor! Maybe not classroom to classroom (I.e. parent donates one for their child’s class), but on a whole-school level, few schools would allocate money that way. Other needs are too great.
Chicago Public Schools plans to do away with a system in which school funding was largely based on student enrollment. Instead, starting next year, each school will get a set number of staff + additional funding based on need. From @chalkbeatchi: https://t.co/wxsmULN0Cu
Biked to work in 17 degree slush conditions today only to see that @thisisUIC facilities piled all the snow in a totally normal place. Who could ever bike in this weather 🧐😤
Also yes those are onion cutting goggles, I'm still waiting for my ski goggles to arrive 😅 #bikechi

Chicago's "Woo Lady" is famous for cheering on others at the Lakefront Trail.
She only let me interview her for @BlockClubCHI on bicycle — and insisted the story isn't about her.
"I'm just a quirky old lady who got a bike during COVID,” she said.

@protosweetums Don’t get me started on this event! I guess it’s ok to have huge, unsanctioned gatherings if everyone is a white yuppy? That is SO many people! There are only 4 ladders to get out! There aren’t lifeguards! Someone is going to drown!
