Product Manager @Google. MBA @StanfordGSB. A rational idealist

[Shreyas Doshi @shreyas]

“I already knew that” is also the ego speaking. The ego is the # 1 enemy of learning.

Someone pointed out this quote to me, which is perfect (and as a bonus, is more concise than my version :) )

“It is impossible for a man to learn what he thinks he already knows.”

Should Engineers consider transitioning to PMs if you are interested in product? I have invited my colleague Google, ex-Microsoft PM and founder of PM Mastermind Felix Watson Jr. to talk about his experience of transitioning from engineering to PM. https://t.co/Nk1fmLDkaM

Do you know as high as 80% of MBA graduates end up working in only 3 industries? I have done some homework to synthesize the takeaways from the employment report published by Stanford GSB, HBS and Wharton. Check out video of the week: https://t.co/OL4cUgV5uV

Last but not least, I am going to share THE biggest benefit of MBA to me, which is a highly under-rated one. It’s not about academics, social or networking, but a transformational experience that benefited me beyond the 2 years or my next job.

[Elena @elena_chen17]

If you are wondering if you should spend the next 2 years and $200,000 on an MBA degree, this video is for you. After asking 100 MBAs what is the ACTUAL biggest benefit for them, I have summarized the top 7 reasons for you. https://t.co/yArJWEwxgF

[Elena @elena_chen17]

I am going to cover questions like can you find a life partner more easily during an MBA? Can an MBA degree from a top MBA school like Stanford REALLY help you pivot into a new industry or start a new business? How useful is the MBA alumni network and is it really worth $200,000?

[Elena @elena_chen17]

Are you thinking about pivoting into a new industry but don’t know how to make it happen? I want to share a K-I-S-S framework that helped me break into new fields over and over again, e.g. product management, coaching, design, BD, edtech, etc.

Vast majority of people believe that doing good work will get you promoted. The truth is that promotion is still far from you if you simply focus on good work and forget to build your visibility in the organization. https://t.co/fMgCYTUZ4m

"Just because it didn’t work doesn’t mean it was the wrong choice.

The world is full of probabilities, not certainties.

Find a game where the probabilities favor you and keep taking shots."

I still remember my presentation at a UC Berkeley education conference 3 years ago. I was so afraid that I couldn’t fall asleep and became a heavy procrastinator. Hopefully this week's video help you become less nervous and want to share your voice more! https://t.co/F2RNHjW0hp
