@machineiv I have friends who (fall 2021) took their child out of a school with this sort of inane policy and moved him to his grandparent's home, to attend a school with a f'ing clue. They take daily turns driving back and forth to spend time with their child, home on weekends.

@makoismycopilot And it also limits your time to get to sell things. Don’t let it turn into trauma, make some reasonable rules before you start and try to stick to them. Realize that your family and yourself, the people you are doing this for, are FAR more important than stuff.

@makoismycopilot I think that selling/donating takes out some of the sting, but the big one is to see space open up and be able to organize it and make it look the way you wanted to. It’s visual turning point that lets you understand you were at the mercy of past purchases.

@makoismycopilot It’s such an amazing soul crusher to look around at your overfilled house and think of how much money you have spent on things you have never used when you need money. It kills me when I can’t find something, wind up buying another and a week or a month or a year later I find it.

@makoismycopilot I want to do so much stuff that I am rarely if ever well enough to do. I bought Halloween stuff last year to make and when I saw more for sale this year, I realized that was still sitting there, waiting for me.
