marta didn't pull away from that kiss because she knows its her fault chloe is leaving. she could never love this woman that loved her so deeply back. and she feels guilty she is happy and in love with fina, which directly causes chloe pain. she let her have this kiss as one final parting gift. one thing she could give to chloe after she couldn't give her what she wanted most. her. it came from a place of deep affection and gratitude for everything chloe gave her, and an apology for everything she couldn't. its messy and unnecessary and a hug would have sufficed and sent the same message. but this is why she let it happen. im not saying its correct. im not saying its not icky. but its why she let it happen.

the scene was a beautiful goodbye to a story and to a relationship that mattered to both of them. the kiss was unnecessary though. and ill die on that hill.
