Review of Series 2 Medium Expandable Knack Pack after 36k miles in 45 days: https://t.co/RUhR4SLvTq @KnackBags#onebaglife#knackpacker (tl;dr - love it!)
Wanted a binary for my vcsh/mr based dotfile setup. Also need all architectures supported. Already using nix flakes...I created one to compile my program/hooked it into my standard "install all the things" flake (part of mr/vcsh). Pretty amazing how smooth it all was!
@ElGauchoSteak They actually called me to explain! Turns out the receipt is very misleading. 15% hoes to the server, 5% to staff. It is not "retained by Aqua". Very different, and reasonable, policy!
Updated project to build zig programs on AWS Lambda (https://t.co/vFonPJDWwg) to use https://t.co/THc1cJIbZm. Glad to use my SDK for real, and my Lambda project feels much less brittle, eliminating timing issues for invoke, x86/arm support and more.
Writeup of building native @unikraft unikernels with zig. This the hard way! The easy way is a Dockerfile plus "kraft build" (and avoid fork()). https://t.co/wh2oLAUvkK
@UnikraftSDK So two issues: 1. Recent versions (>0.16.1) cannot be pinned. and 2. After "kraft build" succeeds, version is ignored. Even after "kraft clean". In order for kraft build to use a new version, you must "rm -rf .unikraft", which is most definitely not obvious.
@UnikraftSDK Looks like the version works as long as the version is listed here: https://t.co/73BqipDgv6. This is not true for versions of unikraft post 0.16.1
@UnikraftSDK More research. AFAICT, nothing in the second code block under "Setting a specific version" works as documented rn. "stable" is the only value that works. The kraft command looks like it is doing the right thing, but images do not exist: https://t.co/8TX2RtXuqP
@UnikraftSDK Need testing to refresh memory, but the version seems completely ignored after the first build due to caching. Even kraft clean does nothing. On a fresh install of kraftkit, IIRC, "stable" worked fine, but "0.17.0" did not.
Ordered same day delivery of prescriptions 5 days ago. Still waiting. Called @Walgreens, cleared queue after 45 min. Hung up at an hour and 25 min. Glad my prescriptions aren't life or death! Switching pharmacy today
Router needed reboot after 552 days. :( Seems to happen every year and a half, one of the marvel radios serving b/g/n just stops. Probably some way around a reboot, but I haven't spent the time.
Twitter app has been eating my battery lately. Also, I don't seem to remember this before, but getting *out* of the app is a lot harder. Frustrated, I've uninstalled the app. Will still check in from time to time via web, and will still cross post
Seconded! I have already upgraded my AWS Lambda runtime to use 0.11 as a package (https://t.co/mtnUxv9aak), and will be doing the same with my AWS SDK for Zig (https://t.co/b2Cse2pU7R) soon!
Congrats to the @ziglang team on the 0.11 release. I've been using Zig for my personal projects (i.e. my terminal) for over 18 months now and I'm absolutely happy with my choice. Really excited about the future too. https://t.co/YW2Y7tCzrI
In London, I am reminded of how terrible my native English language is. Loo, WC, washroom, lavatory, bathroom, washroom, restroom, toilet. I am sure I am missing some. Argue about the nuances, but it is all basically the same. Are other languages as bad?
