@ljcox1@politicalmath@tracewoodgrains Those are terrible examples. The federal government took authority not given by force and justified it post hoc. That's a policial and power question. The correct answer in a perfect system on violent crimes starts and ends with conclusively proving guilt and a swift execution.
@Mark_J_Ryan@xwanyex The main problem with the death penalty is in proving that the person getting it is who did the crime. A secondary issue is perverse incentives. Killing someone actively victimizing you doesnt have the first issue and the second can be your choice. Mutual combat not withstanding.
@alma43_47@FrenlyOfficer@EmpressEleni It's kinda right. Unless she's spending several hours in midday sun half clothed it wont make up for a deficiency.
@SCHIZO_FREQ But the scourge of obesity was already there. This issue is more about that Insurance can't deny coverage based on health factors and can't charge more either. We shouldn't be collectivists and the state shouldn't decide for you what food you can eat. If GLPs fix it fine.
@Jukobut3 Blue and get him to work with us to invade the USSR with American logistics. We still get the scientists, avoid the cold war, and Eastern Europe isn't oppressed under communism for decades. Can stop the rise of red china and probably avoid most of the horrible other genocides.
