Every day, Ukraine defends itself and, in doing so, affirms its rightful place in the European family. Protecting our people ahead of winter is the top priority. Thank you, Ursula @vonderleyen, for your Independence Day wishes and for standing by our side. Additional air defense supplies are the best way to help Ukraine now, just as progress in opening the negotiating clusters is. Thank you, EU.
“No matter how insurmountable the odds may seem, good will prevail. Ukrainians prove this every single day. I’m honored to stand with you. Glory to Ukraine! And may the Force be with you all!”
UNITED24 ambassador @MarkHamill sends his warmest regards to Ukraine and our people❤️
Thirty-five years ago, Ukraine restored its independence!
Happy holiday, great people of a great country!
Happy Independence Day of Ukraine!
Glory to Ukraine!

Visited the interactive exhibition “That Day,” dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the restoration of Ukraine’s independence.
“That Day” is about Ukrainians. About our history, the present and future of our state.
About the great day – August 24, 1991, about the path we have already traveled, about our fight, strength and memory, about the inseparable traits of the Ukrainian character, and about how we envision our own tomorrow and another, no less important “that day” – when Ukraine achieves the dignified peace it deserves.
Visitors to the exhibition can explore interactive zones dedicated to the events surrounding the restoration of Ukraine’s independence, works by prominent Ukrainian artists and creators, and VR technologies that allow them to step into the Office of the President of Ukraine, enter the chamber of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, and see the starry sky as it appeared on August 24, 1991. For the first time, symbols of the Head of the Ukrainian state – the mace, seal, breast badge and presidential standard – as well as international awards received during the full-scale war will be presented to the general public.
Glory to Ukraine!
In Kryvyi Rih, emergency and rescue operations are ongoing at the site of yesterday’s Russian strike on a shopping mall. The fire, which spread across 9,000 square meters, has been extinguished. SESU specialists are clearing the rubble and continuing to search for people. Rescuers from seven regions and canine search teams are involved in the operation. Sadly, 16 people have now been confirmed killed and 130 injured, including 23 children. My condolences to all the families and loved ones…
There were also missile and drone strikes throughout the evening and night. In Kyiv, ballistic missile strikes damaged railway infrastructure. One person was killed and another injured. In Zaporizhzhia, there was an absolutely inhumane FPV drone strike on a city minibus, injuring three people. Odesa, Dnipro, Kharkiv, Donetsk, Sumy, Kherson, Chernihiv, and Mykolaiv regions also came under attack. Residential buildings, energy and railway infrastructure facilities, and civilian businesses were damaged.
Every day that Ukraine lacks sufficient air defense means casualties that could have been prevented. Protecting lives requires daily decisions and effective support from the world, and right now, new supplies of ballistic missile interceptors and other missiles can help. Thank you to everyone who is helping our people and supporting Ukraine with concrete steps.
I met with the ambassadors of the UNITED24 @U24_gov_ua fundraising platform: actress @KatherynWinnick, actor, director, and producer @LievSchreiber, footballer Oleksandr Zinchenko, chef and founder of World Central Kitchen @chefjoseandres, and director, journalist, photographer, and war correspondent @mstyslavchernov, who will also soon join the team of ambassadors.
The work of UNITED24 is first and foremost about shared values. It is about millions of people from around the world who have helped. It is a signal that they stand with Ukraine. Your visit here, during a very difficult period of massive attacks, is also a great source of support for our people. There are more challenges and risks now, but we have to be stronger.
Thank you to each of you for your clear position and for using your own voice to help protect human lives.
Good Morning from Germany, where the fiscal Zeitenwende comes with a price tag. Germany just sold €4bn of 30y Bunds at 3.783%, highest borrowing cost since 2011. And supply is only ramping up: 2027 net financing needs are seen at €204bn, w/record net Bund issuance of €163bn. The era of free money is over. https://t.co/jFbSguZfmz

Krieg in Armenien , Aserbaidschan.
