It’s funny because we chase profitability in the markets for years
Then when you finally become profitable, it doesn’t feel special at all
Because you’ve changed your whole character by that stage - you’re not surprised by profitability anymore
You expect it
I’ll tell you something most people still don’t realize:
Figuring out where the market is likely headed usually is NOT the hard part. Most of the time, bias is NOT the real problem.
The hardest part is finding the right entry and having the discipline to stick to your model when the market starts moving in your direction without you.
That’s where most traders abandon their process and end up chasing.
Executions and model >> bias and prediction.
Missing a winning trade hurts 1000X more than taking a losing trade.
A losing trade is just the cost of doing business. Missing a valid setup can cost you weeks of progress.
If your setup is on the screen and it meets your rules, take the risk. Never back off out of fear.
The market will always find the gap between who you are and who you think you are. Not to punish you. But to show you exactly what still needs work. Every loss is just information. The traders who grow are the ones who actually read it.
I was unprofitable for 4.5 years
Not because I didn't understand charts
But because I couldn't stop myself from:
•Revenge trading after losses
•Over-leveraging when I was confident
•Changing my strategy every few weeks
•Taking trades that weren't part of my plan
Once I fixed THESE things, I started making money
The technical side was already there - I just needed to stop being an idiot
I know A LOT of successful traders.
They've been at it for years, made millions, live the dream.
But they all went through hell first, every single one. Debt, depression, losing friends and family, feeling lost, all of it.
Accept that this part is inevitable... EMBRACE IT.
Don’t run from it or use it as an excuse for why you’re not profitable.
Make it your success story.
Trading is simple.
1) Open charts
2) Execute your system
- If you see your setup, trade the setup
- If you don't see your setup, do nothing
3) Close charts
4) Repeat
Successful trading is 99% waiting.
We could be on the cusp of a generational political transformation. The old guard political class is stuck in the politics of ethnic mobilisation and economic plunder. Meanwhile, the younger generations thirst for a well-governed country with a vibrant economy.
Every profitable trader I know trades their own strategy
They take concepts from different people, then make it their own
Not sure why - but I’ve never seen a profitable trader who copied someone else’s exact strategy
Make of it as you will
@FPL_Zlatan@EBL2017 On Ederson deal he was very critical. If you do your research you’ll find he did criticise Ruben Amorim even before joining United.
Most of you only have yourselves to blame by being unprofitable
You’re not giving this game your all - and you know it
You need to cut out all the distractions and attack trading with 100% discipline
If you’re not willing to do that, you may as well quit now
Madame Celeste Amarilla,
Everything that’s going wrong with your trading is just in your mind
If you’ve verified your strategy has an edge with data - all that’s left is for you to execute it
Unfortunately a lot of traders get too cocky and take trades they shouldn’t which leads to them having big losses
Or they’re too scared of losing and don’t execute on their setups when they appear
Once you have your strategy all that is left to do is keep gathering more data on it and keep working on your psychology
That’s it
If you don’t believe that you can become a profitable trader, you’ll never be one
You need the BELIEF that you can achieve it if you even want a chance
If you don’t truly believe that you can become a successful trader, then you’ll quit at the first obstacle
Most successful traders I know were super confident that they would become profitable
Even if they blew an account, or breached their 10th funded account in a row - they kept going because of this belief
It all starts in your mind
Fix your beliefs before you start trying to become a trader, or else don’t even bother
99% of traders online say it takes a few years to become a profitable trader
Yet every new trader thinks that they’ll be the exception and start making $10,000s in their first few months 😂
