i am an enquirer of the orthodox church

i am commited in my faith in Christ to eventually become a baptised member of the orthodox church.

my protestant family and friends do not understand this isnt just an irrational and out of the blue decision.

it hurts us physically, emotionally and mentally to surrender to Christ. it hurts our prideful and sinful nature. like a poor soul going through chemo, we feel pain purging the cancer of sin from our bodies so we can be free. Christ is the antidote we must keep consuming.

the pride we have clouds the truth of the triune God. many choose to be blind because their ego is a comfortable blanket they cover themselves in as they rot away in the prison of sin.
