@pedigo_morgan@ProfessorStacie I didn’t realize how much personal time they spend at work either. They definitely are super relatable because they have to be very genuine in this type of work!
@ProfessorStacie The most surprising thing for me has been seeing how much teachers do. During my observation I got to see what it’s like from a teacher’s perspective. They work so hard to collect data on tests, make lesson plans, grade papers, and prepare for what they will actually teach.
@AkersFraker @ProfessorStacie I definitely agree that TCAPs are a great way of evaluating students and help teachers plan different lessons for the upcoming year!
@ProfessorStacie TCAPs are a great way to evaluate students and teachers. However, I do not think they should count against the student or teacher. I think they should be used to see where the student needs improving and how the teacher could alter their lessons to meet the needs of students.
@MorganM80216383 @ProfessorStacie I think it can help build a connection as well. It can definitely help students to feel more comfortable when asking for help too.
@ProfessorStacie It is important to find wats to connect with students individually to see where they may need help and it can help create a better overall classroom environment.
@HaleyRoseAr @ProfessorStacie I am also worried about being able to set boundaries. I know that I won’t want to discipline, but I also know that without it, it would be too chaotic and I want to create a calm, respectful learning environment.
@ProfessorStacie I am worried about the transition from being in college to actually teaching. I just feel like it could take time for me to learn how to teach in a way that makes sense/engages my students. Hopefully, I will have coworkers who can help make that transition smoother!
@ProfessorStacie I want to be remembered as the teacher who pushed my students to become the best version of themselves, both academically and as individuals. I also want my students to know that I would do anything that I could to help them with any situation. #IntroTeach101
