The US government, citing national security authorities, has issued an export control directive to suspend all access to Fable 5 and Mythos 5 by any foreign national, whether inside or outside the United States, including foreign national Anthropic employees.
The net effect of this order is that we must abruptly disable Fable 5 and Mythos 5 for all our customers to ensure compliance.
Access to all other Claude models is not affected.
We apologize for this disruption to our customers. We believe this is a misunderstanding and are working to restore access as soon as possible.

GameStop will now only be remembered by the brief flash of a Pokémon revival and its incredibly stupid fan base of degenerate stock gamblers. No good reasoning will have me to want eBay to die along with it.
AMP founder @AnjneyMidha thinks GameStop CEO Ryan Cohen is onto something with his eBay bid.
He says that eBay's 10K filing showed it spent $2.4B on marketing to acquire a million users, or $2,400/ user, in FY2025.
"I don't think he's buying eBay because he thinks he's smarter than eBay's product team. I think he's buying eBay because he can see $2 billion of fat that Wall Street has been pricing as fixed costs. So he goes, 'Let me cut that, and the interest on the debt just pays for itself.'"
Anjey also says Cohen could use Gamestop's 1,600 retail locations to physically authenticate collectors' items, which eBay does big business in.
Zoox (owned by Amazon) is now testing Robotaxi rides to and from the Las Vegas International Airport. For employees only initially, but will expand to the public in the relatively near future.
I'm curious to see what airport rides are like in this vehicle, because when I rode in it last September, I didn't feel the cabin would be good for luggage. There isn't a dedicated storage area like Tesla and Waymo have, which is why I felt the vehicle would be best for passenger only rides, but I guess if the luggage is small it'll be fine.
NEWS: Starting today, Waymo is now serving its first public riders on their fully autonomous ride-hailing service in four new cities: Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, and Orlando.
"This marks the first time we’ve opened to the public in multiple cities simultaneously, this brings our total commercial metro areas to 10, and deepens our commitment in the states of Texas and Florida."
Yikes. NASA couldn’t even complete a test of the SLS rocket’s ground system seal for liquid hydrogen because something else broke with the ground systems. And they wait until 8 pm ET Friday to send an update on something they knew last night.

The @FAANews statement on newly allowed Starship-Super Heavy operations:
“The FAA has completed the environmental review process for the SpaceX proposal regarding updates to airspace closures for additional launch trajectories and Starship landings at the Boca Chica Launch Site in Texas. The FAA continues to evaluate SpaceX’s license modification request for the next Starship launch. SpaceX must satisfy all safety and other licensing requirements before the FAA makes a final licensing determination.”
