I'm a believer that devs should own the software they write end-to-end, including the operations. Automate as much as possible, document the rest, and have useful telemetry and alerts when things go awry. Do your postmortems/retrospectives, and hold accountability.

I'm looking for a Staff+ Software Dev *remote* role. Distributed systems are my jam: everything behind the frontend.
I've over 20 years of software dev experience, much of it in Ruby and Java. C was my mother tongue; it still holds a place in my heart.
RT appreciated.

I enjoy mentoring folks and have several years of eng mgmt experience so tech leadership is good by me.
I've spoken at several tech conferences, love Test Driven Development (it's not for everyone but automated tests should be!), and am a fast learner of most things tech.

. @Verily Care to explain why your wastewater tracking system has no presence in or anywhere within 20 miles of Washington, DC? @BiobotAnalytics had several locations within the vicinity.
I have no affiliation with Biobot.
@meatifoods Bought several classic cutlets. When I've cooked them, there's an overpowering metallic flavor. I've experienced this with packages purchased at two different dates. Please advise?
For anyone paying attention, I no longer use this platform. It has taken its place among the unscrupulous ilk of Fox "News" and worse.
Demand better. Don't be here. You know where the better place is. Go there. Expect others to go there.
Don't contribute to this cesspool.
@sumitngupta Also that many others are having similar experiences, and that I'm being punished for taking the ethical approach.
I could buy another unit and return the old defective one in its place claiming the new one was DoA. Other's have done this.
But I'm staying honest.
. @ikeausa We have to have a talk.
You started selling fyrtur blinds in the USA about 2 years ago. Back then, when I bought them, you offered a 5-year warranty. Here's proof: https://t.co/9lK2BR18Sf
This isn't how you keep customers.
This is how you get formerly loyal customers to curse your name in public.
Please to reach out—though I check twitter rarely now.
Oh, and, for the warranty change and wasting my time with a useless visit to your store? 🖕🖕
@sumitngupta Absolutely, DO NOT BUY! They went from a 5-year warranty to nine with only a standard IKEA return policy only abruptly and silently. Google it and you can see it all over Reddit.
