Got a lot of admiration for Joe Gomez for his exemplary, very mature handling of a difficult situation. Intervened to stop Southgate sending Sterling home. Accepted Sterling’s apology even though he was shocked by what occurred. Sterling owes Gomez thanks as well as that apology.

@Timmyharlowblue To be honest Timmy the whole Mob mentality surrounding Sterling .. is taking a bit of the gloss off the World Cup .. the abuse blurted out watching the games in the pub is pathetic and somewhat dispiriting ! I still think though he will have his big World Cup moment !
