Kudos to the student journalists at The Cornell Daily Sun.
This is why journalism matters, at all levels. Keep shining a light on the darkest corners of power.
You’re only seeing the information about the Cornell 7 because the victim is suing.
Put that into perspective and get a lot angrier.
And this happened two years ago
The last 24 hours of news as a woman:
- A man jacks off to the woman next to him on a plane. United makes her return to her seat.
- 7 frat boys drug and gang rape a student for hours, and advertise “free p*ssy” to their frat. Cornell makes them write essays.
- A football player rapes a student. LSU reduces his suspension.
- A teen boy stalks and stabs a girl 10 times. Courts grant only a restraining order.
- Brendan Carr spent 9 years in a cult raping teen girls. Trump made him FCC Chair.
I miss when "taking a class" at the community center cost $40. Now it's $380 for six sessions of yoga, pottery, or cooking. They rebranded public education as "wellness experiences" and priced out the community. Enrichment became a luxury good with namaste branding.
Using flock cameras to watch a man drive from Wisconsin to a Michigan dispensary only to pull him over for possession when he got back home is so interesting to me when an estimated 460,000-600,000 children go missing in the US every year.
the kind of cartoonishly evil entitlement you must have to think you can just destroy OUR moon. everyone’s moon. the moon humans have looked up at and admired for thousands of years. who the fuck are you to flippantly blemish our moon forever
