The Government has made steady progress towards the implementation of the manifesto on which the current administration was elected into office 4 years ago.

Kenya’s economic recovery is on course. Key indicators namely, the strength of our currency, inflation rate, sovereign rating, foreign exchange reserves and the quantum of our national savings have all taken a positive trajectory.

Major milestones have been achieved in agriculture- with the reduction of fertilizer prices, increased earnings from coffee, tea and milk and lower costs of sexed semen for dairy breeding increasing household incomes.

The education curriculum has been streamlined , 100,000 more teachers employed, enrollment in tertiary institutions doubled, while the university funding model is being fine-tuned to fund all qualifying students.

32 million Kenyans are today covered under Taifa Care- our flagship Universal Health Coverage programme, up from 8 million Kenyans previously covered.

Construction of affordable housing for more dignified homes, putting up of fresh produce markets and student accommodation hostel beds speaks to a transformation of Kenya’s built environment in 4 years.

Electricity supply connections have been extended to 1.4 additional homes, while the NYOTA programme and the overseas and digital job programmes are offering income opportunities to more youth.

After clearing 177 billion shillings of road construction bills that caused the stalling of roads across Kenya from the year 2019, construction of some 6,000 kilometers of roads countrywide has resumed.

Construction of the signature Rironi- Mau Summit Road, a new airport in Nairobi and the extension of the railway line are all underway.

32 new stadiums are being constructed including the iconic Talanta Stadium.

The National Infrastructure Fund (NIF) has been set up to focus on construction of water dams, roads and the generation of more energy to power Kenya’s industrialization drive into first world economy status within a generation.

We have spent decades grooming politicians, giving them positions, exposing them to the systema nd teaching them how government works.

And what did we get? Leaders who became experts at enriching themselves, hiding wealth and protecting each other while ordinary Kenyans suffered.

Sifuna is different. He has already demonstrated that he understands public service, politics, accountability and the responsibility that comes with representing people.

What Sifuna needs is not grooming. He needs an opportunity.

We should not wait for him to spend 20 years inside the same political establishment that has failed this country before declaring him “ready.”

We will give him responsibility and let his record speak.

Kenya does not need another politician groomed to master the art of looting.

We need a leader who is already prepared to serve.
