Jaha, jobbet? LYCKA TILL IDAG!!!!””. De dagarna är de bästa dagarna
How can brands write better captions or smarter VO scripts for social media? In today’s newsletter, I asked FONZIE, a copywriting duo that has worked with brands like rhode, A24, and Netflix, exactly that. It’s one of my favorite conversations. Here are a few things I learned:
It's impossible to be a social media manager. We're great at what we do, and yet we still don't feel good enough to take up space in the industry. Like, we have to always be extraordinary, but somehow we're always doing it wrong.
You're expected to be creative, but you're not a graphic designer. You're expected to engage your audience and grow a community, but only push sales posts. You're expected to be a jack-of-all-trades, not a master of social media. You're expected to do the jobs of five people, but only get paid for one.
You have to answer for bad engagement rates or low conversions because you don't have any creative control - which is insane. You're expected to be funny, but not too unhinged because then you'll get accused of being an intern, or not doing "real" social media work. All because you made a meme.
But you need to always stand out and always be creative, making the next reactive and disrupting piece of social marketing. You have to be working at the same level as other companies who have entire social teams, never be too stressed, always act like you're having the best time and never complain about your work because... "It's easy". And it's contradictory, nobody gives you a medal or says thank you! And it turns out in fact that not only are you doing everything wrong, but also everything is your fault.
I'm just so tired of watching myself and every single other social media manager tie themselves into knots so that people will take us seriously.
”The advantage of poetry over life is that poetry, if it is sharp enough, may last”.
Katy Perry’s house battle with 84-year-old Carl Westcott has inspired a new bill called the ‘Katy PERRY Act’ which aims to protect the elder from “financial abuse” when dealing with real estate.
The act is being pushed by Westcott’s family and already has support from state and local legislatures.
Okej lite smalare men: frisörhårvård??
