according to stoicism, a life wasted by fear, inaction, and doubt is the worst thing you can do. your lack of urgency and imagination is killing your potential.
People are mad that I'm pushing for original black characters and won't just shut up and accept what's given to us. I'm sorry, but there are a lot of black "legacy characters," and every time I make a point with Isom, that gets them really pissed off. Good.
You know, this is funny. This kind of proves that people will be interested in African stories, but they just don't like seeing Africans being the center characters in those stories.
@NYtellem@spectrumarvel You’re 100% right. Race swaps are just an excuse to not have to invest in black characters while still appeasing people enough so that they don’t ask for more black characters
@spectrumarvel What point are you trying to make? This still devalues OG Black characters.
I’m advocating for Luke Cage, Bishop, Dr. Voodoo, Blue Marvel, BLADE, Monica, Misty Knight, Gentle, ManiFold, etc etc to get their shine..and your showing me meaningless race swaps. (Excluding Fury)
@Soulful1865 Love Sam but he clearly isn't aware of the racism still happening on a daily basis to black people in Britain. Black Americans will always have more opportunities because there's more of them. This feels like another form of gatekeeping, which is quite disappointing
@historyinmemes Moment Godfrey discusses the time he spent with Stan Lee and says X-Men is about Martin Luther King Jr. and Malcolm X, while Superman is based on the Black Egyptian god Osiris.

I often think about the eras when Martin, Fresh Prince, Living Single, etc. + Girlfriends, All of Us, One on One, Eve, The Parkers, Half & Half, My Wife & Kids & more were all on TV at the same time.
And now, well…
Young woman is going viral after questioning the disappearance of positive Black TV shows from modern television, noting, ‘It was very important to inspire people and kids. We don’t have that anymore.’ 📺 👀 🤔
@ParamountPics If I had a penny for every time this guy was called Bob in a movie, I'd have two pennies. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice.
