@zolotaya_queen I'm so sorry, I assumed this was about a poem series! I'd totally forgotten I had a story by that name. I'm afraid I won't be finishing it as I've moved on over the last 7 years and I'm not happy with the opening two parts anymore. But I may come back to rewrite one day!
@JMJosephWriter Thank you so much Jay and sorry for the slow response – I'm not checking Twitter as often as I should be! It is indeed a product of the Autumn lockdown last year, just about the only productive thing I managed to do over that time!
I'm absolutely thrilled to have my short story 'The Nameless Wives Aboard the Ark' published in the most recent edition of @EclecticaMag! It was a bit of an experimental piece for me and I'm (unusually) proud of how it turned out. Read it here: https://t.co/o6Pb6k61Uh
The terrible and wonderful thing about having excellent writer friends is that when you tell them about your ridiculous YA high fantasy novel idea, they have the nerve to encourage you to write it
@CathTigermoth I never have been but this one is changing my mind! Started with a small fire in our flat block’s meter room at 1.30am (4 fire engines, nobody hurt) and has gone on to serve up 2 pieces of bad news and a stomach ache. And it’s not even midday!
@YasminwithanE Ugh, the WORST. Flat below us began a full-scale renovation (incl. removing walls) on day 2 of full lockdown in March. They finished in August. As if being trapped in 3 rooms wasn’t bad enough to start with!! Owner (in Aus) clearly didn’t think lockdown applied to his builders...
A fascinating insight into what it’s like having a book come out in these crazy times. Fire Boy is brilliant, and I can’t wait for the sequel! Hopefully you get the party this time around, Jay 🤞🏻🤩
Around the middle of lockdown I rediscovered bullet journalling and it has brought me a lot of quiet pleasure & peace in the weeks since. I use mine as a planner, journal and space to be arty all rolled into one (not a “real” bullet journal at all, but what works best for me!)
@JMJosephWriter Thank you so much ❤️ It is indeed, just a dot grid notebook and I’ve built up an embarrassingly big collection of stamps, stickers and pens during lockdown! Very satisfying to turn a blank page into a collage though I have to say!
Have discovered that I’m now at an age & relationship status where “I have some exciting news” needs to be immediately followed with “I’m not pregnant”
