Delighted to return to @ThatShakespeare podcast, this time to chat about the introduction of caffeine to early modern England.
(Spoiler alert: Shakespeare probably missed out.πͺ)
NEW EPISODE: Travellers and ambassadors to the Ottoman Empire would have encountered coffee + tea during Shakespeare's lifetime & informed those in England. Explore where coffee & tea were at in their journey to British ubiquity with Elisa Tersigni. https://t.co/BiImDcdpbR
@book_historia@adaywithoutme__@R042 Ah, I understand. I think it's just crossed wires--I meant kiddie friendly furniture and space to move (which littles absolutely need, both generally and specifically for learning, reading, and story time). Public libraries should be for all ages, stages, and abilities!
@adaywithoutme__@book_historia@R042 I thought it was common for public libraries in the US to offer these spaces? We have designated spaces like this in Canada and they are a godsend, especially in extreme weather
@geri115 @ReisterRei @soggypicnic@jessesingal This! If you can drop your cream on top of the jam, it's not clotted, and clotted cream tastes best on scones imo.
@TTChelps If riders can't find the info you post--I still can't, except in that direct link you sent--then you need to work on the accessibility of your website. There were strollers and wheelchair users stuck at Queen this morning.
@TTChelps@TTCnotices It is not listed on your Accessibility Service Alerts site. Riders shouldn't be expected to check every single station site and your Twitter accounts. Please respect the accessibility needs of your riders.
