Fidesz politician Péter Ágh clearly won his seat through fraud. Neither we nor the people of Vas County accept him as a legitimate Member of Parliament.

This is the Russian playbook in its most cynical form.
Fidesz fielded a proxy candidate - one Péter Magyar - who does not even live in the constituency and who attends Fidesz events; he received 909 votes.
The TISZA candidate, Viktória Strompová, fell short by a mere 258 votes. This was not a fair political contest, but a deliberate attempt to mislead voters.

This is a far more blatant abuse than many others committed by Fidesz.
The police confirmed as early as 9 April that they had launched criminal proceedings on suspicion of offences against the electoral process.

We call for a new, fair election in Vas County’s 02 constituency.

Yesterday, I spoke by phone with Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, President of Turkey. President Erdoğan congratulated me on the election victory and sent his best wishes to Hungary and the Hungarian people.

We agreed to continue cooperation between our countries in the areas of energy, security policy, trade, and culture.

President @RTErdogan invited me to Ankara, and I invited him to Budapest to mark the 70th anniversary of the 1956 Revolution.

I received a congratulatory letter from @AndrejBabis, Prime Minister of the Czech Republic, and I gladly accepted his invitation to visit Prague.

I also spoke by phone with Slovenia’s Prime Minister, Robert Golob, and invited him to Budapest for bilateral talks.

Together with @Markus_Soeder, Minister-President of Bavaria, we agreed to further strengthen our bilateral economic and cultural relations.

Today, I will also hold several important international consultations. After a year and a half, I will visit Hungary’s public television station and will later meet with President @DrTamasSulyok.

Because of Orban's continuous breaking of E.U law, Hungary as accumulated a total of 2.8 billion in penalising fines that it owes the E.U. The E.U should scrap these. I think that would be a nice gesture to welcome Hungary back into the fold of Europe.

@dionisvs_ @Dispropoganda Just because he's on the right like Orbán doesn't mean they are alike. His party's campaign plan was full of 180 degree turns compared to what FIDESZ has been doing for 16 years. Especially when it comes to checks and balances. We'll just have to see if he follows through.

@Dispropoganda Most importantly unlike Orbán he opposes corruption, he's anti-russia pro-europe and pro-democracy (unlike Orbán) so more checks and balances are to be expected in hungary in the near future.
