In November 2023, Jazeera was on the ground reporting on the families and also the Israeli attempts to crack down on celebrations.

Al Jazeera’s ban also resulted in a major gap in the coverage of the recent battles and sieges in Jenin. This type of censorship is not only a total disgrace that should be denounced by anyone or any nation claiming to support a free press, but it is also leaving the public less informed about issues of vital importance.
