@PaytonRayRose2@CBSNews No. The people who are older who would meet that criteria have been institutionalized their whole lives, passed away, or would have been labeled with something else. Acceptable and visibility is still pretty poor. Those people were always hidden from view.
@PaytonRayRose2@CBSNews Better diagnostics, expansion of criteria, better recognition of functional vs dysfunctional skills, and we don’t institutionalize or hide disabilities like they used to.
@FunKittyHappy@transpontiff Also eats through plastic. It melted a hole in our office paper towel dispenser that was about 6 in above where it was plugged in.
@simsimmaaz Where are the pencil thin eyebrows and eating disorders highlighted by ultra low rise jeans? Also, nobody walked around with headphones during this time.
@majur_56@Allenswifee@Andrew_Long25@AntiCommieBecca@JesseKellyDC No, it was an issue even in small towns in TX. It maybe wasn’t talked about so openly like now, and people weren’t called out for their racism like now. It was just normalized. If there was pushback for not wanting to accept unspoken racism, that’s when it became an “issue.”
@papacap13@glennkirschner2 Yeah. So basically, saturate with guns and solve problems with guns! The minute someone does something you don’t like - gun them down! I don’t see a lot of training going on. That would be part of regulation. People are impulsive, it’s hard to train that away.
@papacap13@glennkirschner2 Not a well thought out argument. Stop the absolutes. Liberals own guns and most aren’t against it. The guns above all else narrative does need changing. Looking for mitigating measures. Again, prevention/regulation. Stop dehumanizing + fantasizing about guns solving everything.
@papacap13@glennkirschner2 Nah, you’re seeing the aftermath of what an armed populace has been doing. We need to focus on prevention rather than response. There is no blood on my hands. I’m not so cavalier with other people being murdered.
@papacap13@glennkirschner2 Yes. Everybody wears a seatbelt for fear of what would happen if they didn’t. Just is case of what? And republican run cities are up there as well. Believe it or not, neither party owns violence. You need to look at actual stats.
@papacap13@glennkirschner2 You need to look at stats on gun violence in cities/states. It’s not a red/blue problem as you make it out to be. As for the fear, yes that is what is ultimately driving you. Without guns, what would you feel? Afraid? That’s why you cling to them and these arguments.
@papacap13@glennkirschner2 why are you all armed? FEAR! You just reiterated what I said BTW. You fantasize about being able to stop those situations, because you think guns make you infallible or the good guy, but everyone armed would only make it worse.
@papacap13@glennkirschner2 No, you absolutely do live in fear. You’ve been programmed to view your life as less expendable than everyone around you. So many are fantasizing about being in a situation where they have (get) to shoot someone.
