Según la Casa Blanca, Smartmatic fue un sistema utilizado por la dictadura venezolana para manipular las elecciones de 2020.

Smartmatic lo niega, pero Trump dijo que el software ofrecido por esta empresa hizo el trabajo sucio en Venezuela, en las elecciones parlamentarias. En aquel entonces el gobierno de Trump respaldó a la oposición que dirigía Juan Guaidó y dijo que esas elecciones habían sido fraudulentas.

Trump desclasificó cientos de documentos de la CIA para hablar de los riesgos que hay en el sistema electoral, de Estados Unidos que en noviembre va a las elecciones de medio término en las que renovará la Cámara de Representantes y parte del Senado.

Trump aseguró que China, Rusia, Irán y Corea del Norte han buscado acceder a bases de datos de electores estadounidense.

Some people on the left saying they would rather live under Maduro than Trump is one of the dumbest takes of all time.

Under Maduro, people dug through trash for food, ate stray animals, lost 20 pounds from hunger, watched their money become worthless, and fled the country by the millions. Supermarkets were empty. Protesters were killed. Elections were rigged.
