Daffodil, an experimental personal work about beauty and horror. Gouache, chalk pastel, pencil, grief. Inspired in part by the @florencemachine song of the same title.
"I couldn't help it, yes I let it get in- the helpless optimism of spring . . ."
Community Care Items will benefit a new source starting July, TBD. Are you part of a local grassroots org or group, and feeling a value alignment with my work as an artist? Hit me up! I would love to connect with you.
May I have a drumroll please? It's time for a Community Care Items impact report! Thank you to @meals4heels for helping me show some love to @HaymarketPole this past year! (See the infographic text in my replies below.)

Welcoming in the Lunar New Year and 대보름 (Daeboreum), I've been thinking about this work I made for a loved one in the fall. This is the first year I celebrated 대보름, or even knew to, trying to savor the holiday's name in my mouth as much as the rice cakes we ate together.
Despite how war, imperialism, and assimilation work to numb and disconnect us, 우리는 뿌리를 자랍니다. We grow roots. Connected, we can liberate each other. I'm grateful to the artist 제피 (J P) for inviting me into these words and the lens they offer. https://t.co/mtnYP2pyWk
LOVE LIKE LIVES DEPEND ON IT
Because they do, they do, they do
A sketch in response to Valentine's Day marketing messages about love while my country's government actively funds genocide. Love is a verb, love is an action, and lives depend on how we do it. #freepalestine
The 2nd photo shows Community Care Items: ALL profits are donated directly to Haymarket Pole Collective @haymarketpole ! Portland business @meals4heels will match the donation to double our impact, which is so rad. Get cool art and support sex workers while you're at it.
