"Science is fun and being a scientist is a fun job!"
On this year's International Day for Women and Girls in Science, listen to 2023 medicine laureate Katalin Karikó speak about being a scientist.
What is your favourite thing about being a scientist?

Proud moment: updated my Goodreads with all of the books I have lovingly taken photos of in book shops over the last year to "keep track".
Now to settle down and read them
Celebrating together with my lab and colleagues a successful year 2023, including papers, PhD transfer vivas, thesis defense and promotion. Wishing everyone some relaxing time over Christmas!
Absolutely adore the fact you can open a Rivers of London book to any random page and be met with simply the most ludicrous string of words, yet know in a few hours time it will all make perfect sense
My absolute favorite part of being a scientist is that few minutes after you get data back from an experiment and you are (most likely) the ONLY person in the whole world to know that little piece of biology. I just think that’s so neat.
Do any of my London area followers (or others) have access to AsPC-1 cells? I’d like to test something that they’d be useful for but we can’t afford to buy another cell line atm
