"Precision Enhancement of CAR-NK Cells through Non-Viral Engineering 2 and Highly Multiplexed Base Editing". The 1st application of Base editors in primary NK cells shows promise for enhancing their cancer-killing abilities.

A REALLY bad look for Kenyon. Unfortunately I witnessed a bit of the stereotypical small town small-mindedness when he said to me "Between you and I, I don't really believe in privilege"

One thing about me is I have ZERO self preservation instincts and ALL of the audacity to inform people how they can and can't treat me.
People pleasing? Cannot relate.
So, happy tweet of the day:
kids are so smart & curious and I can't believe a 3rd grader even has a clue about biology concepts that I barely understood in high school 🤍
Phone calls with my little brother now lead to hard-hitting questions such as:
"How could a virus be good, won't they just kill stuff?"
"Could you cure that DNA mutation in dad's heart?"
This kid is always asking what I learned at school today and has the most insightful follow up questions. He knows more about my research than any of my family - at 8 years old.
In less than 24 hours, a thread offering tips to avoid / fight cancer 'naturally' (mainly through diet⛳️) has gotten over 100k likes.
Sadly, the advice given is both wrong and dangerous, and *very* likely to cause harm.
A quick thread on why this is so misguided... 🧵

Scientific papers should absolutely be accessible to the general public, but we need to teach critical analysis skills in high school so that less of this misinformation is circulated.
