Together with U.S. Chamber of Commerce, we co-hosted our third hashtag#G7 Annual Energy Security in Houston yesterday, during CERAWeek.

At the conclusion of the Forum’s proceedings, the G7 government representatives were presented with a Joint Letter from IGU and the US Chamber of Commerce:

1. We asked for a clear affirmation of the crucial contributions of Gas to global energy security as part of upcoming G7 dialogues in 2025.

2. We made it clear that continued development of natural gas and liquefied natural gas (LNG) is necessary to stabilize volatile global energy markets

3. We requested G7 members to send a clearer signal to financial institutions and other public and private stakeholders considering investments in the natural gas value chain.
