The saddest take away from #ConservativeConference is that it’s dominated by individuals using it as a platform to promote their own ambition as potential future leaders and nothing about the state the country and the party is in. It’s a total, utter, chaotic mess - not helped by Rishi spending all day yesterday pretending he hadn’t made a decision aboutHS2, instead telling us all how wonderful and hard working he is, like it’s all about him - the PM nobody voted for.

I’m guessing right now that many Conservative Party members feel profoundly ashamed.
