Twitter Challenge: Capstone Symposium! This year's symposium was amazing, so many great posters. The lightning talks were spectacular and everybody was confident in their research. Great work! #POEcap#ENVIR492
Landscaping project: Had to dig a two foot trench for work. Using a pickaxe is wayy harder than it looks! On the upside, I got to use a chainsaw and sawzall the next day, which was a lot of fun.
Twitter challenge: Reflection! Working with Friends of Lincoln Park prepared me for working outdoors and helped me land a job for a landscaping company. The connections and friendships I made were helpful in propelling my research project and keeping me motivated. #ENVIR492
@liv_a_clark@uwpoe I agree! I was definitely lacking some UW spirit before I found the community at PoE. Couldn't have asked for a better way to end my college career. #ENVIR492
@eunice_sj_lee This is great advice! I learned a lot from other people in my host organization. My site supervisor was great, but branching out and talking with other professionals really propelled my project along. #ENVIR492
@castroisa25 @wecprotects Are you still planning to get into the law field now that you've completed PoE? Policy and law are so important to environmental protection, look forward to seeing what work you do in the future! #ENVIR492
@ddeegiizaya Your talk at graduation was incredible! So honored to have you as a spokesperson for PoE at UW. Can't wait to see what amazing things you accomplish in the future! #ENVIR492
@WinslowLewis Seriously, I can imagine this program growing huge over the next few years as more students become interested in and aware of environmental issues. #ENVIR492
@iBrendaaaa Asking questions is so important! It can open the door to opportunities, show people that you are curious-minded, and allow for more open conversations. Good advice! #ENVIR492
@GabriellaChilc1 My favorite farmer's market is the Shoreline Farmer's Market in the Central Market parking lot every Saturday! So many cool foods and homemade products. Enjoy your summer! #ENVIR492
So proud of everyone who graduated today!! Congratulations! Can't wait to see what amazing things you all do after college ❤ #ENVIR492#POEcap#Graduation
@TiaraAdler Good question! I don't know if the park has any plans for that, but it is very important. I'll bring it up next time I see my site supervisor!
Twitter Challenge! Shout out Host Organization: It was amazing to work with Friends of Lincoln Park for my Capstone internship this winter. The work that I did helped me gain experience for my current landscaping job. Check out their website! https://t.co/lJj23crmbo #ENVIR492
