After much reflection, I have decided to resign from my position as Director of the National Counterterrorism Center, effective today.

I cannot in good conscience support the ongoing war in Iran. Iran posed no imminent threat to our nation, and it is clear that we started this war due to pressure from Israel and its powerful American lobby.

It has been an honor serving under @POTUS and @DNIGabbard and leading the professionals at NCTC.

BREAKING: The Trump DOJ briefly published Data Set 8 of the Epstein files last night—then abruptly removed it.

Among the materials is a letter purportedly sent from Jeffrey Epstein to Larry Nassar, the former USA Gymnastics doctor and convicted sex offender. The envelope is postmarked just days after Epstein’s death.

The letter reads:

"Dear L. N.

As you know by now, I have taken the "short route" home. Good luck! We shared one thing . . . our love & caring for young ladies at the hope they'd reach their full potential.

Our president shares our love of young, nubile girls. When a young beauty walked by he loved to "grab snatch," whereas we ended up snatching grub in the mess halls of the system.

Life is unfair.

Additional records indicate the letter was submitted for handwriting analysis, though there is no clear indication that investigators ever reached a definitive conclusion about its authenticity.

The images of the letter appear in files EFTA00036086 and EFTA00036085.

A letter allegedly sent from Epstein to Nassar has been publicly reported before, including coverage by The Guardian in June 2023.

Chain-of-custody records (file EFTA00036087) show the letter was logged on September 25, 2019. Another document (EFTA00036076) confirms the FBI sent the letter for handwriting analysis, but the outcome—if any—remains unknown.

As of now, the material appears to be accessible again on the DOJ website under file EFTA00035768.

Holy shit. More Epstein files were uploaded and accidentally leaked. In one email a Asst U.S. Attorney writes in 2020:

"Donald Trump traveled on Epstein's private jet many more times than previously has been reported...including during the period we would expect to charge in a Maxwell case...didn't want any of this to be a surprise down the road"
