I wrote about getting to know my grandparents and Eastern Oregon cousins in my upcoming @catalyst_press book--and this week got to connect with one of those cousins and discuss family history as we can piece it together. Can't wait to read from the book in her community in July.
#EarthDay Who feels left out of the #science conversation? Who can be drawn in through words, pictures, stories, fascinating animals and #dinosaurs and curious people? Can you share a book in #Ethiopia or the U.S. for #EarthDay2025 We learn via facts and imagination and models.
First my grandkids worked on the story with me. Then #Ethiopian and American artists created art with kids in Addis Ababa. Then two teachers gave me story suggestions + one of them created new illustrations. Now @OpenHeartsBigD1 has gotten it into new languages! Fly, turtle, fly!
