103 House Democrats voted today to eliminate US military aid to Israel.

Not to condition it. Not to distinguish between offensive and defensive systems. Not to suspend specific weapons pending review.

To them I say: grow up.

For decades, support for Israel rested on a simple proposition: Israel is a democratic ally in a region where America has few dependable friends. You can oppose settlements, criticize military operations, and vehemently dislike the Israeli government without abandoning that strategic reality.

For too many in the Democratic caucus, strategic thinking has given way to ideological politics. Israel has become a symbol onto which a broader discomfort with American power - and a worldview rooted in oppression, grievance, and moral absolutism- is projected.

Members of Congress have a duty to exercise independent judgment in the national interest, not to succumb to the mindless chants of the TikTok mob.
