‘The Magical World of Miracles’ OFFICIAL TRAILER IS HERE 🤩 To everyone involved; you are legends, I love you, thank you ❤️ #trailer https://t.co/6mOKIQZ2Tb
We are starting Anima Entertainment because the UK independent "industry" needs it, we can moan all day but action needs to be taken and Anima is only one tiny part, we need everyone to come together. Put egos aside. It's a genuinely urgent time for our industry and I'm worried there won't be one soon. We need more funding, we need to support producers who will then support more crew, we need more commercially driven films made for audiences, more support for underrepresented voices and stories. (Disability, diversity, working class) We need to make the industry sustainable for all, not just the ones who can afford it.
Documentary is a whole other thing, they are so important to our culture and need to be supported more. Not just serial killer docs.
We also need to stop toxic environments, start calling out the abusers and people who ride on others coat tails. Support and help each other. Don't let someone live in fear because some arsehole is using their "power"
We have some amazing talent and a lot of people doing great stuff behind the scenes to change things but let's all come together and genuinely shake things up.
And tbh, it's not just the UK but that's where we are focused.
Spread the word it's time to #ShakeUpTheIndustry
Share your ideas, concerns, angers.
(Ps, I'm so annoyed I literally paid so I could write a longer tweet lolz)
"I've heard from a lot of people that Aesthetica is such an inclusive and vibrant festival; and I must say I completely agree."

@DanielleNicki Read script after script, played detective and figured out what structuring a story looks like, (ah, structure) read Save the Cat (haven’t we all) et voila 🤌🏻
