@Artemisfornow Same with nurses and paramedics -whilst many of my local hospitals are on critical incident and wait times for ambulances remain unacceptably high.
@Victoria_Rixon If they closed every ward that was understaffed we’d have no hospitals open.
After watching my Dad clinically dehydrate over zoom ( Covid) I’m amazed anyone leaves hospital alive!
@OdohertyI64991 I thought it was simple too until I worked in palliative care.
The intense vulnerability of these people is hard to describe - even when loved and valued by family members people feel guilty for being a burden, how many might feel obligated to ‘do the decent thing’
@DailyMail Once guaranteed good quality end of life care is available to all we can discuss AD. Until that point it has no place in civilised society.
If we don’t want to fund the care we should not be funding euthanasia.
@thelucyjohnston@carlheneghan Why did they stop building swimming pools in the 80s?
Our local pool, like so many others, is now privately owned, rusty old and prohibitively expensive.
@Reuters Even the victorians knew the benefits of open windows, views, and fresh air for well being and recovery.
Then we spent decades building virtually windowless monoliths that look like multi story carparks and expected people to heal in them.
@lukerobertblack Did you see any of the data at the time- UKSHA released data weekly demonstrating higher RATES of infection in the vaccinated.
That was certainly my experience whilst running Covid Virtual Wards- whole nursing homes positive within 2 weeks of vaccination
@SW_Help Presumably you will find journeys via other means ie taxi?
My kids are stuck with a load of European students ( who are in bewildered shock at this)
@australian The irony of holding a “women in politics” panel & talking about women needing to raise their voices… only to shut down women doing exactly that.
@DrHoenderkamp@DailyMailUK To get on a waiting list you need a referral, to get a referral you need to have seen your GP - a few times.
People are falling at this first hurdle.
@ChildrensHD My brother took his own life, my father had bipolar induced by escalating doses of SSRIs. I will never be able to come off them because the side effects of withdrawal are utterly unendurable.
@ompsychiatrist@DrKrisEdward@DrAnnieHickox In the uk most antidepressant meds are prescribed or at least initiated by general practitioners who don’t have specific psychiatric credentials.
A GP plonked me on one when I was an angsty teen and at 49 I am still on them. Horrific, unendurable withdrawal
@DrHoenderkamp@McDonalds We have 2 paramedic students and 2 nursing students - they were discussing the lack of job opportunities due to recruitment freeze - the cohorts above them still haven’t got jobs and there’s nothing on the landscape for them
If you haven’t read Laura Dodsworth aka @BareReality ‘s book A State of Fear, now might be the moment.
We may be at the start of a similar psyop.
Prepare your mind to resist it.
