It's a rare to see a hare drinking like this🐇
They normally get their moisture from the vegetation that they eat, or from dew or rain.
But it's been so dry recently I've spotted one at the pond almost every day.

Wouldn’t have even noticed this Ringed Plover chick if its parent had not been reprimanding it.
Even then I had to wait for it to move near the water so it stood out from its background. Wonderful nature…these tiny chicks just blend into the sand & pebbles to keep them safe.
