Sometimes you butt heads with colleagues. Will it be a shit show, or can you squeeze something good out of it?

For the aspiring #SQL wizards, you've got to get your hands on common table expressions. They'll dramatically improve the long-term value your queries bring to the table.

@ktfontnowagner Had a nightmare with Europcar Norway trying to gank over 1000 euros in damages from us. We ended up winning our dispute, but whoever you rent from take tons of pictures when you rent and definitely use your US credit card because they had our backs through the dispute process.
For fun, I built an automated trading system based on the Gemini Exchange (cryptocurrency).
The system got choked up during the latest market drop. Tune into this #devyx video if you want to see how I'm using #tableau to get ideas on future improvements!

@rlvanessagrant Piling on here, let's use a real-ish example.
Say I run a store. Whenever a customer buys from me, we save some data into a database: item name, price, etc.
My data describes the transactions, and metadata describes my data: how many rows, table name, column names, etc.
Curious what a scorecard dashboard in #tableau looks like with real world data? Stretch your legs and take a break from that "superstore" data.
Here's one I put together to help keep track of trades made by an automated trading system:

Been cracking out hard for months building an automated trading system that buys and sells cryptocurrency.
Ever flirted with the idea? In this video we're diving into #tableau to visualize some real trading decisions the system has made. #devyx

No joke, this was a picture sent to me when I asked what justified the charges for damages. Since then they decided more damages exist and additional invoices have inflated to over 900 euros.
If anyone has experience handling wild charges from Europcar, please let me know. Two months after the rental they decided there are "new damages" and sent an invoice for over 900 euros. Other than never doing business with them again, any advice?
This week's progress on the automated crypto trading system:
1) automation around training buy and sell models
2) parameter tuning for XGBoost models
3) improved Tableau visuals (includes actual close price)

Building an automated trading system is one hell of a time-consuming hobby, and there's a ton of room for improvement in what I currently have.
This week's #devyx update is diving into initial simulation results for when the system would sell:

In this video we're diving into the results of a model I've been working on to predict good entry points into the crypto markets.
If you like this stuff, more is coming... up next we'll be predicting attractive sell points. From there? Who knows. #devyx

For a while now I've been cracking out on developing an automated trading system. The first version was deployed to a cloud server and just ran 24/7 using crazy stupid rule-based logic.
Finally now a proper data pipeline is coming together!

Scratching your head on how to download the summary data for all visuals in a #Tableau dashboard?
Check out the latest #devyx tutorial to scratch that itch. We'll be using Python and the Tableau REST API to tackle this use-case #DataDev style.
