It's been a hectic few days...for a place that seems to have dozens of kids thinking there's nothing to do, I've certainly been swept off my feet. I'd say I'm going to go and relax, but my idea of relaxation has always been watching open-heart surgery...not quite the ticket now.

I think this is one we all try to hold onto nowadays. Will there be salvation that soon that redeems us. Each day seems to grate harsher against us here.

I try to believe it. Isn't always easy these days. But when you're surrounded by people at least trying to make this place work for good, it's easier to not feel screwed up.

Canned Okra. Again. I read a medical study on how brain productivity could be increased via eating less over specific periods of time, but I'm not entirely pleased with Perdido Beach feeling like a sample test zone. Self-analysis suggests...I'd rather not be in this situation.

@mother_maryFAYZ You already take enough on your shoulders. I'm rather concerned that both you and Sam rest in the mindset that you're quite capable of holding the town together just the two of you. It just isn't feasible or healthy.

I've made a note to ask, but you know what kids can be like.
