@FrankieMaguire I would love to see football clearly write down the spirit of the game so it’s set in stone. The rules can change to ensure the spirit is being delivered, but the spirit of the game should be unchangeable
@FrankieMaguire Loads more examples like that too. Unsportsmanlike conduct is a punishable offence for example and should be used very often in today’s game by refs. I would go further and make any deliberate hack down or pull back to break up a counter attack a red card offence
@OCONNELLAFCFAN@CuttheBull1234@Reddevil_United@ToonFan14 Villa’s record transfer is £50m (Onana). Our second highest transfer is £40m. We certainly aren’t dropping £60 or £70m on players. Our starting lineup is generally still made up of Dean Smith’s players
@Alex_Berwick I might be missing something, but we seem to have PSR in hand. SCR is our issue and that’s about wages, but Rogers isn’t a high wage player relatively speaking. How does selling him solve our problems? We will spend more on wages to replace him!
@Ant_Mossarelli@JUSTIN_AVFC_ Arsenal are not historically bigger than us. I can remember going to Highbury in the mid 90s and we were definitely bigger than them at that point. It’s only since Wenger arrived they have taken off and they had success in the money era.
@AvfcArchive I used to go to the Villa kids sessions on Saturday mornings in the late 80s & early 90s. The players were closer to the fans in those days so every now & then a player not in the matchday squad would come down and play with us. Lee Butler came one weekend, lovely guy.
@xGPhilosophy XG shows what is expected based on the chances generated. If you have good players on the end of those chances, you beat your XG. If you don’t you are behind your XG. It’s got nothing to do with what you deserve, it just shows you what happens if everyone had average strikers
@Ltrs_Frm_Across@piersmorgan Our PMs have a lot of power. The country should elect the PM. When people vote, they vote for the vision put forwards by the party leader in reality. Changing the leader should trigger a new election. Many people don’t know who their MP is or the other choices locally
@Marcspurs1468@AlanKnightLab@UTDTrey I don’t think you can pick and choose history like that. Are all trophies also equal? Winning the league and the European Cup is a bigger achievement than winning league cups, UEFA/Europa League and Cup Winners Cups.
@Marcspurs1468@AlanKnightLab@UTDTrey So? They still win them. It’s also a European Cup after that, which Spurs don’t have. Spurs have won the league twice in their entire history. Burnley have more history
@AlanKnightLab@Marcspurs1468@UTDTrey The facts are that Villa have won more in their history than Spurs and are historically a much bigger club. They have also been more successful than Spurs in the last 4 years. So, what exactly are you clinging to here?
