David Shoebridge happens to be one of the finest, most decent, most principled politicians to set foot inside our federal parliament.

There are some very sad, delusional rusted-ons galloping to Labor's predictable call-to-arms and suddenly finding fault with Shoebridge's wife's property or his sock color or whether he uses Colgate toothpaste or whether he spoke to the right journalist that one time. Your slavish devotion to the cult and lack of critical thinking shows you up, nobody else.

You want action on climate change? A liveable planet? An end to billions of dollars wasted on AUKUS and forelock tugging to the USA? You want somebody - anybody - in federal parliament holding them to account?

Then spend your time and energy focusing on the enemy, instead of wasting bullets on your own troops.

Here’s my story about student accommodation. And how the Future Fund is being used not to pay for the superannuation of politicians and the military but to charge students huge amounts of rent, through the investment vehicles that it has plonked OUR money into.

Because yes, we have been paying Tony Abbott and other former PMs pm (on average) a 270,000pa pension, plus three staff, travel and other perks, as well as to Morrison and Abbott. We pay that still, as well as massive amounts of superannuation and perks to sitting politicians.

It comes out of the Future Fund instead of consolidated revenue, which is made up of our taxpayer dollar, interest and other revenue.

They have been able to use that fund since 2020 but they have chosen not to. Instead, they are choosing to rip off students by forcing them to pay over $800 for the equivalent of Harry Potters cupboard under the stairs. In REDFERN.
