A Gen Z joined the team.
Week one.
During onboarding, the manager said,
“We sometimes stay late during peak periods.”
Gen Z nodded.
Then asked,
“Is that paid… or just expected?”
The room went quiet.
- No attitude.
- No rebellion.
- Just a question.
Later that day, HR mentioned “growth opportunities.”
Gen Z replied,
“Does growth include raises, or just more responsibility?”
Again, silence.
- No laziness.
- No entitlement.
- Just clarity.
That’s when the team realized something.
When people say
“Gen Z is lazy,”
what they really mean is:
Gen Z watched old generation
- skip meals,
- miss birthdays,
- work weekends,
- and burn out
only to be told
“budgets are tight”
and “be grateful you have a job.”
So Gen Z chose differently.
- They don’t romanticize overwork.
- They don’t confuse suffering with ambition.
- They don’t trade health for praise.
They still work hard.
They just refuse to work for nothing.
It’s not laziness.
It’s pattern recognition.
And honestly,
after everything old generation went through…
Can you really blame them?
Kongsi Kuliah Subuh pagi ini. Kata ustaz kalau nak perbaiki hidup,
Penat kalau nak ubah dunia.
Fokus dulu perbaiki diri dan keluarga. Perbaiki hubungan dengan Allah dan manusia. Perbaiki tidur. Perbaiki cara hidup. Usaha tambah skill, explore ilmu baharu.
Fokus kat perkara yang berada dalam kawalan kita!
Selamat Tahun Baru semua.
Astaghfirullah for when I've felt superior to others. Astaghfirullah for when I struggle to forgive someone for the wrongs they've done to me. Astaghfirullah for the sins I've committed, both those I remember and those I've forgotten to seek repentance for.
He’s known today as Malaysia’s King of Logistics.
But his story began in a modest family office in Port Klang.
A boy running around with a milk bottle while his parents worked up front and the family lived behind.
This is Dato’ Seri Dr Michael Tio’s story. 🛳️ 👉
We want 4 things only:
1. Better public transport
2. Better public healthcare and better working conditions for doctors, nurses and pharmacists etc
3. Better education system
4. Better salary for all
Aku nak repost balik tulisan Che Ta @ Rozita Che Wan di Instagram tentang kes kematian adik Zara Qairina binti Mahathir. Zara dilaporkan kononnya terjatuh dari tingkat 3 asrama perempuan tanpa seorang pun sedar, datang bantu atau dengar apa apa. #JusticeForZaraQairina
Ibrahim waited decades for a child.
Musa waited years in exile.
Yusuf waited in prison.
Yaqub waited with blind eyes.
Ayyub waited through pain.
Nuh waited a lifetime.
Their waiting wasn’t wasted.
Waiting is one of the quietest forms of ‘ibadah—because even in silence, you’re saying: “I trust Allah.”
And when the wait ended, Allah rewarded them beyond imagination.
a mother just lost her 13-y/o daughter, yet you’d see bully enablers say "alaa buli tu benda biasa kat asrama" CAN WE STOP NORMALIZING THIS UNCIVILIZED CULTURE
In the end, you can't fight qadr. What is not meant to be will never be — no matter how hard you fight for it. What has been destined to happen, will happen — no matter how hard you try to stop it.
