If you are ever in this position, you are not prepared for marriage. No human being should ever have the FINAL say on whom you marry, let alone your sisters or aunties. We all have soft spots for our mothers, but sisters and aunties dictating one’s marriage? Sun sha giya ne?
Umar ibn Abdul-Azeez (رحمه الله) cried one night until everyone in his home wept with him. His wife asked:
"What makes you weep, O Commander of the Faithful?"
He said: I remembered the Day when the people stand before Allah — a group in Paradise, and a group in the blazing Fire
Al-Hasan al-Basri said:
"Humility is for you to leave your home and believe that every Muslim you see is better than you."
[Minhaj al-Qasidin by Ibn al-Jawzi, (vol. 2, p. 899)]
O Allāh, in this sacred month of Muḥarram, just as You saved Mūsā عليه السلام and his people from oppression and tyranny, save our oppressed brothers and sisters wherever they may be.
Ya Rabb, You are the Protector of the weak, the Helper of the broken, and the Answerer of the desperate. Grant relief, strength, and victory to the oppressed in Palestine, Sudan, Kashmir, Yemen, and every land where injustice prevails.
O Allāh, allow us to reflect upon the lessons of Muḥarram: the courage of Mūsā عليه السلام in standing for truth, and the steadfastness of al-Ḥusayn ibn ʿAlī رضي الله عنه, who stood firmly upon justice and principle despite immense hardship.
Fill our hearts with sincerity, patience, and conviction. Do not let us remain silent in the face of oppression, nor waver when truth is challenged. Make us among those who support justice, aid the needy, and strive for Your pleasure alone.
O Most Merciful, forgive our sins, accept our deeds, unite the hearts of the Muslims, and grant us a good end upon the Sunnah.
Āmīn.
Dear ladies, being too rude or acting like everything must be about money can push away genuine love. Money is important, yes, but character, respect, kindness, and understanding matter more in the long run.
A man’s wallet can change, but his values and how he treats you will stay. Choose someone who supports your growth, respects your heart, and is willing to build with you not just someone who has money today. True love is about partnership, not pressure.
If money is the only reason you love him, don’t be surprised when love disappears with the money.🤝
As a Muslim woman, your dignity is far more valuable than the fleeting attention of social media. Do not reduce yourself to a commodity whose worth is measured by likes, comments, views, or the approval of strangers.
When a person consistently posts pictures and videos designed to attract attention through physical appearance, suggestive poses, or excessive exposure, they often invite the gaze, comments, and advances of people who neither respect them nor wish them well. The attention may feel gratifying for a while, but it is temporary and can leave behind emotional, spiritual, and psychological consequences when it fades.
Your body is an amānah (trust) from Allah, not a tool for public validation. Let your presence online reflect your intellect, character, faith, kindness, achievements, and positive contributions to society. Build a legacy that will outlive your beauty and your youth.
One day, we will all leave this world. When that day comes, let the footprints you leave behind on social media be a source of reward for you—posts that inspire goodness, spread beneficial knowledge, encourage righteousness, and cause people to pray for you rather than regret what they have seen.
A woman of honour is not defined by how much attention she attracts, but by the values she upholds and the respect she commands. Preserve your dignity, guard your modesty, and never trade lasting worth for temporary applause.
You'll miss them, you'll want to call them, you'll want to reach out, and you'll even want closure. But never forget the disrespect, the dishonesty, the unloyalty, and the lack of communication when all you wanted was love.
May Allah SWT make us among those who find honor in His boundaries rather than the trends of the time.
May He SWT protect us from the trials to come, from not safeguarding our imaan and from the temptations and trials of this world - Ameen!
In the Hadith of Anas bin Malik RA, When the Messenger of Allah (saw) spoke of selling one's religion for "goods of the world," it doesn't just mean money—it includes social validation, physical desires, and the comfort of fitting in.
In times of such Fitan (trials), the deen encourages us to:
Be steadfast in Dhikr: Keeping the heart connected to Allah.
Seek beneficial knowledge: To distinguish truth from falsehood.
Keep good company: Surrounding ourselves with those who remind us of the Akhirah.
Look at what just passed on my timeline.
A Muslim couple posting anniversary pictures. Pregnancy scan in one slide, kissing in another, hugging in another, holding hands, then a caption full of duas asking Allah to bless their home with barakah.
Let me start with the husband. As a Muslim man you are meant to have ghayrah and protect the dignity of your home. Instead you are turning intimate moments of your marriage into content for strangers on the internet to consume. Marriage in Islam is an amanah, not a social media performance.
Now the wife. Allah honoured Muslim women with modesty and haya, yet you are comfortable displaying romantic moments publicly for the world to watch. Love between spouses is a mercy from Allah, but Islam never taught us to broadcast those private moments for attention.
Now the comments are even more interesting. People clearly see what is going on yet they rush to type “Allahumma barik”, “May you reach Jannah together”, “I can’t wait to recreate mine”.
So now anything becomes acceptable as long as you decorate it with Islamic phrases.
Some of you already know something is wrong but instead of advising you admire it. Slowly turning marriages, pregnancies and private moments into public entertainment.
Not everything needs to be posted. Not every moment of marriage needs an audience. Protect your homes before social media turns everything sacred into content. May Allah guide us. 🤲
The crescent moon has been sighted in Saudi Arabia.
Therefore, Ramadhān 1447 will begin tonight.
May Allāh ﷻ accept our siyām, qiyām & acts of worship, may He grant us the ability to utilise the precious moments of this Blessed month to engage in that which pleases Him. Ameen.
