Hang in there and keep the faith. Christ and His gospel are true. His church is the authorized agent to administer His gospel on earth. Members are imperfect. Hold fast to the truths you DO know as you strive to understand things you don't know (many things we might not learn or understand until the next life). Your posts have often been a source of strength for me. I'm hoping to return the favor. One thing that has helped me is to remember the difference between principles, policies, and personalities and to focus on principles. True gospel principles are constant over time. Policies change. Leaders come and go. People are often flakey and inconsistent. Principles keep us grounded and built upon the foundation of Christ. Hang in there!

Democracy vs. Constitutional Republic

"The word "democracy" appears ZERO times in the Constitution. It also does not appear in the Declaration of Independence, nor does it appear in any of the Constitutions of the 50 states."

Article IV, Section 4 of the Constitution mandates: "The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government", therefore explicitly establishing America as a Republic, NOT a democracy.

So the democrats are LYING when they call America a "democracy."
Democracy = mob rule = tyranny.
That's EXACTLY what they want, which is likely why they use the word repeatedly.

There’s one truth that critics simply cannot explain away - Jesus Christ, the Son of God the Eternal Father, is the central figure in The Book of Mormon.

Susan Easton Black’s classic 1978 study, which counted only names and titles of Christ, found 3,925 references to Him. An amazing 1 per 1.7 verses!

More recently, the 2024 Hilton & Sinclair study, which included pronouns referring to Christ, found 7,452 references! That’s more than 1 per verse.

No single book in the Bible, in either the Old Testament or New Testament, comes anywhere close to the density of Christ found in the Book of Mormon.

The logical conclusion is simple. If you want to learn about Jesus Christ, add a study of the Book of Mormon to your Bible study.

Nearly 2,000 years ago, a small group of women rose while it was still dark and made their way towards the tomb where the body of their beloved Lord, Jesus Christ, had been laid to rest.

Despite grief, fear, and unanswered questions, they encountered the empty tomb and learned for themselves the glorious truth of His Resurrection.

These few women became the world’s first witnesses of the single greatest event in the history of the world.

We must all do the same.

We must encounter the empty tomb, experience the reality of what it means and, in turn, share that witness with others.

No, we were not with Mary on that blessed Easter morning. We did not see what she and the other women saw. But we can ask ourselves: what have we seen, felt, or experienced?

Shall we not, therefore, become witnesses of Jesus Christ? Shall we not share our love for Him with others?
