Today our team received a very upsetting call from a school in #Padgate where they had discovered a mum cat and 4 newborn kittens locked in a plastic box. What is really distressing, is that the box was hidden from view, not destined to be found.
We believe the kittens to be 2 days old and it seems poor mum cat had to give birth in the box, trying to tend to her newborn kittens whilst locked in a confined space, with no water and a few scraps of dry biscuits to sustain her. Thank goodness they were found and brought to us straightaway! Mum is understandably bewildered, and will be going into a foster home with her kittens tomorrow, where they will hopefully recover from their ordeal.
Whilst we can appreciate times are hard and people are struggling, doing this to a cat you have chosen not to neuter, is not OK! Please..before it gets to this stage, pick up the phone and ask for help.

If you need to rehome your pet contact you local registered animal charities. If they are full, ask to go on a waiting list or ask your local vet for advice.
Never rehome on a pet selling site or on social media, cruel people do not always look cruel.
Your pet could be used for breeding or as bait in cruel 'sports'.

Sexed language isn’t quietly being dropped from information about prostate cancer or testicular screenings in the name of “inclusion.”

Healthcare providers are, rightly, prioritising clear, sex-based language to ensure vital health messages reach the men who need them.

So why does that clarity suddenly become controversial when the patients are women?
